Come and join Tutbury Castle for a festive Christmas meal and fun filled talk with Nell Gywnne.
Nell Gwynne was the mistress of Charles II and for many people they believe that was all she was known for – other than selling oranges! The real Nell Gwynne is a victory for English womanhood, showing great courage and against all the odds became a star of the London stage and beloved of the King of England. You will have a chance to meet pretty, witty little Nell in fantastic costume and have a chance to both laugh and cry with her.
Come and enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch before sitting by the glowing fireplace to hear Nell’s fascinating story.
Please be aware that the talk will take place in our Great Hall, which is up a flight of stairs. There is no lift access at the castle. For more information, please visit the page on Accessibility on our website.
The meal will be served in the magical Great Hall at 7.30pm followed by dessert and tea or coffee. Following this you shall be taken up to the Great Hall where you will be met Nell Gwynne.
We ask that guests arrive no earlier than 7pm as you will not be available to have access before this time and be ready in the tearoom at 7.30pm as the meal will be served promptly.
Seasonal Pate (Served with melba toast and chutney)
Turkey (Served with all the trimmings)
Christmas Pudding (Served with brandy butter)
Vegetarian/Vegan Option available. You must contact the castle in advance if you require a vegetarian or vegan meal.

Unfortunately dietary requirements cannot be catered for with prior notice.
