A beacon, one of the national chain, will be lit at Tutbury Castle high on the historic motte on Sunday 11th November at 7.00 p.m. to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. Church bells will ring shortly afterwards.
Free admission and free parking from 6.00 p.m.
You are invited to bring photographs of any relatives or friends who may have served in the First World War and these can be put on display in our marquee. Please ensure that the name of the person on the photograph is given, and a note of your name and telephone number so that we can ensure that any photographs inadvertently left behind can be returned to their rightful owner
Light refreshments will be available.
