Talk on ‘150 Years of Witchcraft ‘1500-1650’

Enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine followed by a talk on Witchcraft and Persecution in 1500 – 1650 in our Great Hall this Halloween.
This fantastic talk by castle Curator Lesley Smith explores different stories and ideas believed behind Witchcraft and the persecution of innocent women and men.
This promises to be a truly interesting evening and certainly not one to be missed.
On arrival please drive all the way round to the main castle building and please wait in your car until a member of staff is ready to escort you from your car – for COVID-19 safety reasons. You will be asked for your track and trace details and then you will be seated within your group. You will be seated 2 metres away from other guests. The mulled wine will be served to you once you are seated. Facemasks must always be worn until you are served your mulled wine. Failure to do may result in you being asked to leave. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering please ensure you call the castle beforehand. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the start time as you will not have access to the building. You will be only able to book in groups are 4 at present.
