  1. How are you cleaning your buildings?
  • We have implemented enhanced cleaning regimes in line with government guidance

  1. Can I buy tickets at the gate?
  • Entrance will only be by pre-ordered tickets bought online. We may re-visit that as more restrictions are eased.
  1. Why are you issuing timed tickets, and is it important that I arrive at the correct time?
  • We are issuing timed tickets to try to spread out the times that people arrive, so that nobody has to queue for very long. This is for your own protection. If you come at a different time, you risk longer queues for yourself and others.
  1. Does the timed ticket mean that I have to leave at a particular time?
  • All tickets are valid until the Castle closes at 4pm
  1. Why aren’t you opening the main building or the towers?
  • We can’t maintain safe social distancing in these spaces, so they have to remain closed at present.
  1. Are you serving any refreshments?
  • We are offering a limited range of takeaway refreshments from the ticket office. Everything apart from tea and coffee is pre-packed.
  1. Can we bring our own picnic?
  • Of course, but please use the litter bins provided.
  1. Are dogs allowed?
  • Dogs are welcome, but should remain on leads. There is a tap at the front of the patio area if you need water for your dog, but we recommend that you bring your own water bowl.

  1. Where are the toilets?
  • Because the main building is closed, the only toilets are at the ticket office.
