      Tutbury is easily accessible by road and rail. Our nearest railway station is the Tutbury / Hatton station, which is less than a 10 minute walk away. There are regular buses from Derby and Burton on Trent. East Midlands airport is a 30 minute car journey.

Opening Hours

General public opening hours are seasonal as given below

Owing to issues with Coronavirus, our opening hours are currently reduced.

The grounds are open each week on Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm, and our tearoom is offering drinks and snacks for consumption outside. We are also offer brunch and lunch which can be prebooked and is table service only. Unfortunately we are not yet in a position to open up inside to visitors who are not dining with us.

All tickets are £2.50 (no concessions. Under-5s and season ticket holders go free. Tickets may be purchased from the ticket office on arrival.

Lost Property:

If property is lost at Tutbury Castle, we make every effort to contact the owner of the property. Items (such as clothing etc) will only be kept for one month before being discarded. If you contact the castle to say that an item belongs to you then we will store items for one month, after which it will be discarded, as we cannot store items for an undetermined period.
