Opening Times & Entrance Fees
The castle remains open all year round for ticketed events and private functions including meals, school visits, ghost hunts and weddings.
General public opening hours are seasonal as given below.
Open Friday – Sunday, 11am – 4pm (last admission 3pm)
Open Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 4pm (last admission 3pm)
Starts Wednesday 28th July 2021 until Sunday 5th September 2021
Open Saturday & Sunday, 11am – 4pm (last admission 3pm)
Starts Saturday 11th September until Sunday 31st October 2021
Please always check our website before visit, as due to private functions parts of the castle or the entire castle may be closed.
We will also be offering a bar service from 4pm – 9pm on Friday and Saturday evenings serving food and drink. There is no entry fee. To reserve your table please Click Here.
We are also offer lunch which can be prebooked and is table service only. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to open inside for any visitors.
All tickets are £4.00 for adults, £3.00 for children and concessions. Under-5s and season ticket holders go free. Tickets may be purchased from the ticket office on arrival.

Use of the Tutbury Castle car park is £1.00 per vehicle/motorbike. Parking is at the owners’ risk and Tutbury Castle cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or theft.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Commercial photography and filming including wedding photography and filming are permitted but only by prior arrangement. If you do not have a wedding booked at Tutbury Castle you may use the grounds for a pre-wedding photo shoot at a cost agreed by the wedding co-ordinator.
